Attending a Catholic Wedding
I'm not Catholic. Can I still attend the ceremony?
Absolutely. You're welcome to join the liturgy and share in our joy. But if you are not a practicing Catholic, you must abstain from Communion as the Eucharist is only to be consumed by a Catholic in good standing with the Church and in a state of grace. In other words, when everyone lines up and approaches the altar, please remain quietly seated until the mass has ended.
What's appropriate church attire for the ceremony?
Selecting an appropriate ensemble to wear to a Catholic wedding is important because the ceremony has deeply rooted religious significance. So, dressing respectfully is essential to honor the sacred setting and faith-based customs. Plus, it's a sign of respect to the couple and their family. There aren't specific guidelines, but some things to keep in mind: cover cleavage and keep skirts or rompers to about knee or mid-thigh length so you'll be comfortable moving around during the mass, since there's a lot of sitting, standing and kneeling.
The dress code is different between the ceremony and reception; how do we approach that?
There's about an hour between the ceremony and reception, and the locations are about 10 minutes from each other. If you're wearing a dress for dancing, it might be a good idea to come to the ceremony with modest coverings if you plan to go to the reception afterwards without changing in-between.
Can I bring my young child(ren) to the ceremony?
There is an appropriate way to conduct yourself at a Catholic Church; if your child(ren) will be quiet and respectful of the proceedings, we would not bar them from the house of God. But if you feel that your child will not be able to sit through the hour in respectful silence, we will preemptively ask you to remain in the entrance lobby of the church during the ceremony mass or recuse your child(ren) from the ceremony.

Our Reception
Can I bring my gift to the reception?
You can! However, if you are buying us something off of our registry, we prefer that you send it via the built-in Amazon addressing online. Anything bought directly from our registry will ship directly to us. Thank you for thinking of us.
Our online registry can be found here.
Can I bring my own drink(s) to the reception? [BYOB?]
No, bringing your own alcohol to the reception is not permitted. Bottles and cans will not be allowed into the reception venue.
Will you make any exceptions for the "no children under 10" policy?
No, we will not. We love your little ones, but this is our day. Thank you for understanding.
